As a Kommo CRM integrator, we often perform tasks related to optimizing sales processes. One of the typical cases is the automation of invoicing or creating links in payment services. Next is the answer to the question of whether it is difficult to create payment links in CRM
Task
A client from Poland approached us with a problem: a lengthy process of creating payment links was leading to the loss of interested customers. The existing process required the involvement of the accounting department, which created delays between the moment the customer agreed to purchase and the opportunity to make a payment.
Solution: Integration of CRM and payment system
We have implemented the integration of Kommo CRM with the PayU payment system, which works on the following principle:
- When a deal is transferred to the "Sending an invoice" stage in Kommo CRM, the system automatically starts the integration
- Customer data and transaction parameters (amount, currency, description) are extracted from the CRM
- An API request is generated to PayU to create a customer card and generate a payment link
- Within 5 seconds, the completed link is returned and saved in the transaction card
- The sales manager immediately gets access to the link and can send it to the client.
Technical features of integration
- Using REST API of both systems
- Setting up webhook triggers to automatically start a process
- Secure Data Transfer Protocol
- Two-way synchronization (receiving payment status from PayU back to CRM)
- Automatic notification to the manager about the created link
Results of implementation
After implementing the integration, the client received the following improvements:
- The time it takes to create a payment link has been reduced from several hours to several seconds
- The percentage of successful transactions has increased due to the processing of clients "on the spot"
- Sales managers now have the ability to create payment links themselves without involving the accounting department
- The sales process has become more organized and transparent
Benefits of payment process automation
Integrating CRM with payment systems provides businesses with a number of advantages:
- Speed of response - instant creation of payment links allows you to process clients at the moment of their maximum interest
- Minimize manual labor - eliminate the need to manually duplicate data between systems
- Reduced errors - automatic data transfer eliminates the human factor when entering information
- Transparency of the process - all stages from creating a link to receiving payment are reflected in the CRM
- Distribution of duties - freeing the accounting department from routine tasks of creating payment links
PayU payment system capabilities
PayU provides the following features for businesses:
- Create one-time and reusable payment links
- Support for various payment methods (cards, e-wallets, bank transfers)
- Saving customer payment information for repeat purchases
- Setting up recurring payments
- Detailed transaction reporting
- API for integration with business systems
For what businesses is such integration relevant?
Automation of payment processes is especially effective for:
- Companies with high sales frequency
- Businesses with a long sales cycle, where it is important not to lose the client at the final stage
- Organizations with limited financial department resources
- B2C companies where payment speed directly affects conversion
The implemented case of integration of Kommo CRM with PayU clearly demonstrates how automation of payment processes can significantly improve sales indicators and optimize work processes.
